GOLDEN BAKED GRANOLA

Breakfast at its best, simply delicious.

An easy home baked golden granola, full of plant based goodness.

Enjoy the taste of slow baked nuts and seeds combined with dried fruits.

Serve with your favourite yoghurt, fresh fruits in season and plant milk.

EQUIPMENT x1 sheet tray, 1 medium and large mixing bowl


OVEN TEMPERATURE: Bake at 150 Celsius or 300 Fahrenheit


RECIPE

300g or 3 cups jumbo oats

80g or 1/2 cup almonds, roughly chopped

30g or 1/4 cup hazelnuts, roughly chopped

40g or 1/4 cup macadamia nuts, roughly chopped

35g or 1/4 cup pepita seeds

40g or 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

25g or 1/4 cup sesame seeds

1/4 teaspoon Himalayan pink salt

1/4 cup dried golden sultanas

1/4 cup dried cranberries


110 ml or 1/2 cup water

3 tablespoons maple syrup or other liquid sweetener

METHOD

*To a large mixing bowl add the first 8 ingredients

* To medium size mixing bowl add maple syrup and water, whisk together until combined.

*Add the wet ingredients to the dry, mix together until evenly coated.

* Place the mixture on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper and spread out.

*Bake until a light golden colour, approximately 35-45 minutes, stir mixture every 10 minutes and rotate tray . Keep an eye on the granola in the last 15 minutes as it can brown quickly.

*When it is done remove from the oven and let cool completely.

*Add in the dried fruits to baked granola and stir to combine.

*Store in a glass jar or an air tight container.
